Welcome Sara Milks!

Sara joined the Club during COVID so she hasn’t had a proper introduction yet. We are so happy to welcome her to May Court.

Sara was born in Toronto but has lived and worked in the Kitchener-Waterloo area for over thirty years. She is married, has one son and one daughter, and an adorable cockapoo, Charlie.

Sara worked as a teacher with the WRDSB for 31 years. She taught English and ended her career as Head of Special Education. Sara has a strong desire to help those in need, so The May Court Club is a natural fit for her as a volunteer.

Sara joined The May Court Club because she wanted to make a difference in the community. As a teacher, she was involved in several volunteer opportunities – a coach, staff advisor and participant. She was especially ihelpful with making new Canadian students feel welcome in her school.

In her spare time, Sara enjoys being out-of-doors – hiking, kayaking, swimming, downhill skiing, and playing pickleball. She loves to read, watch movies, go to the theatre, attend Blue Jays games, travel, and spend time with friends.

Sara has been an active May Court member since she joined our Club. She volunteered in the shop, is our current convenor of Marketing, and also serves on our Executive. Her creativity and enthusiasm are contagious! Thank you Sara for your caring, insightful and hard working nature.
